Department of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH)

The Department of Social Sciences and Humanities (formerly the Department of Philosophy) was founded in September 1969 to provide socio-political, humanitarian, and methodological training for higher education students at various levels. The department received its current name in 2025.

The Department of Social Sciences and Humanities conducts educational, methodological, and scientific activities in the field of worldview and humanitarian training for students of all specialties and forms of study, as well as the training and professional development of academic staff and educational/upbringing work among students. The department considers its primary goal in educational and upbringing work to be the formation of a system of value orientations and a culture of thinking that incorporates scientific-technical and humanitarian knowledge, relying on personal responsibility for the results of intellectual activity.

Starting from the 2026鈥2027 academic year, the department trains higher education students at the second (master’s) level in specialty D4 “Public Management and Administration” under the educational-professional program “Digital Public Administration and Adaptive Management in Times of Crisis.”
