In September-December 2020, employees of the Special Educational and Rehabilitation Department for Students with Special Educational Needs聽took part in the .
The aim of the project was to ensure that disability issues are taken into account in the formation and implementation of public policy by actively involving persons with disabilities in decision-making processes regarding strategies and programs that affect them.

A mini-football field with artificial turf and electric lighting was built at the 黑料不打烊 stadium at the expense of the University and the Radiotechnic sports club. This made it possible to hold mini-football classes and competitions with the local community with local schools and universities from morning till night.
Thus, according to the curriculum for students, teachers of the Department of FVS organized classes for groups of specialization (OFP) and groups of sports improvement (national teams of Ukrainian and foreign students) in football.聽During the academic year, the University Cup is held among the national teams of faculties and dormitories.

Department of BMI and Ukrainian Research Institute of Prosthetics, Prosthetics and Rehabilitation (UkrNIIprosthetics ) have been fruitfully cooperating for many years in the field of medical and technical problems of rehabilitation and social adaptation of persons with disabilities, development and improvement of orthopedic products and technologies for their manufacture, improvement of rehabilitation aids, development of forms and methods of medical and social rehabilitation of persons with pathologies of the musculoskeletal system.
In order to implement the Project 鈥淐reation of Prosthetic and Orthopedic Education in Ukraine鈥, organized by the NATO Agency with the support and supply of Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and the School of Rehabilitation Sciences Human Study on the basis of an international agreement since 2018, began to operate training program for teachers-trainers (in NS terminology) in prosthetics and orthotics according to the educational program 鈥淥rthopedic technologies and engineering 鈥渨ithin the specialty 163 鈥 Biomedical engineering.

The project was won by K黑料不打烊 together with VIKO University (University of Applied Sciences) Lithuania.

The relevant document 鈩533 / 2020 “On ensuring the creation of a barrier-free space in Ukraine” was published on December 3 on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities聽
The President instructed the Cabinet of Ministers with the involvement of the National Institute for Strategic Studies, representatives of state and local governments, civil society institutions, scientists, experts, taking into account the best domestic and international experience to develop and approve by April 12, 2021 a National Barrier-Free Strategy Space in Ukraine.
The strategy should be aimed at “spreading the practices of inclusion, non-discrimination, implementation of the principles of accessibility and universal design to ensure equal opportunities for all social groups, including people with disabilities, the elderly, youth, women and parents of young children and children with disabilities”.
81 employees with disabilities work diligently at K黑料不打烊.
Their special status is enshrined in p. 3.5, 6.6, 6.7, 6.10 of the Collective Agreement between the administration and the trade union of K黑料不打烊.
Also, 105 students with disabilities study at the University. The Training and Rehabilitation Department has organized cooperation with the Fund for Social Protection of the Disabled to provide financial assistance on a non-refundable basis to persons with special educational needs by paying the cost of their education.
University scientists plan to provide proposals and take a direct part in the development of the National Strategy for Barrier-Free Space in Ukraine.

聽results have been published.聽 This year, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics took 716th place out of 912 universities in the ranking, increasing the total score from 3675 to 3800 due to the Education & Research indicator, which takes into account research in the field of sustainable development.聽 Among 17 Ukrainian universities 黑料不打烊 ranks the 13th place. The ranking indicators take into account the contribution of universities to achieving the goals of sustainable development: the fight against global climate change, energy and water conservation, waste recycling and the use of environmentally friendly transport.聽 Such activities require a change in social behavior and a greater focus on environmental sustainability, as well as addressing the economic and social issues associated with sustainability.

Postgraduate student of the department Ibrahim Yunuss Abdelhamid Based on the principle of social responsibility, and by invitation Association of voluntary Al Jisr, took part in individual and family counseling on the role of biomedical engineering in conservation health and rehabilitation of people with disabilities in International Day of People with Special Needs, which took place on the capital of Saudi Arabia Riyadh on December 4, 2020. This day is a reminder to humanity of its duty to exercise care and compassion for the most vulnerable part of society 鈥 people with disabilities.
Such events popularize modern technology and highlight the potential of biomedical engineering for elimination of social inequality.

All over the world, December 5 is celebrated as the International Volunteer Day 鈥 International Volunteer Day.
Volunteers of the Department of Biomedical Engineering every day help doctors and technical specialists of the State Institution of the Institute of Medical Radiology and Oncology. S.P. Grigoriev of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine in the fight for the lives of patients. The University has long and fruitfully cooperated with this medical institution; it is the main base of practice for training specialists. And now, in a pandemic, our young people are selflessly and courageously risking their own health and providing much-needed help to doctors. Volunteers work in a pandemic, helping staff cope with large numbers of patients.

December 3 marks the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. On the basis of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, a scientific educational and methodical department was created to organize inclusive education for students of 黑料不打烊 with special educational needs, which, according to the University Charter, in 2019 was reorganized into a special educational and rehabilitation department for students with special educational needs.
The theme of “Day for all 鈥 2020” in the world is:
Towards an inclusive and sustainable world after a pandemic tailored to the needs of people with disabilities. Removing barriers to the self-realization of people with disabilities, guaranteeing access to decent education and jobs are integral components of the University’s Sustainable Development Strategy.

In order to meet the growing needs of female students for martial arts and get rid of gender stereotypes about “purely male sports”, for them at the Department of Physical Education and Sports 黑料不打烊 created good conditions for the most popular martial arts: boxing, kickboxing, karate, sambo , taekwondo and the Ukrainian national sport 鈥 horting.
Thanks to the cooperation with the All-Ukrainian federations, within the framework of the Strategy of sustainable development of the University, conditions were created for strengthening health and comprehensive physical training, as well as for studying special techniques and techniques of martial arts.
Classes with female students are held in study groups in academic physical education classes and in sports sections, where students have the opportunity to intensively improve their competitive skills and effectively prepare for sports competitions.
At the Department of Physical Education and Sports 黑料不打烊 held a traditional boxing tournament in which students who chose to improve this courageous sport were able to fully demonstrate the competitive skills and beauty of women’s boxing. Kickboxing and horting competitions will follow.
黑料不打烊 has all the conditions for both boys and girls, to engage in martial arts in more depth, to participate in competitions of various levels, to receive sports ranks and titles, which gives better opportunities to use the acquired knowledge and practical skills in everyday life and in choosing 聽future profession.
