The FIBA U20 EuroBasket 2026, Division B, was held in Bratislava, Slovakia, from 10 to 19 July 2026. The Ukrainian men鈥檚 national U20 team delivered an outstanding performance, won the gold medals and earned promotion back to the top tier of European youth basketball.
The Ukrainian national team included , a student of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics from group AKTAKIT-24-2. Mykyta鈥檚 participation in the competition is confirmed by the official records of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine and FIBA.
For the first time in its history, Ukraine won the FIBA U20 EuroBasket Division B title. The national team completed a perfect tournament campaign, winning all seven of its games.
In the decisive final, the Ukrainian players defeated Iceland 74鈥64. The tightly contested game was decided in the fourth quarter, when Ukraine produced a powerful run and confidently secured the historic victory.
This remarkable triumph was achieved through outstanding skill, team unity, resilience and an unwavering determination to win. Mykyta Zmiievskyi鈥檚 appearance for the Ukrainian national U20 team is a significant personal achievement and an inspiring example of how dedication, discipline and perseverance lead to success on the international stage.
