The new Center will combine practical professional training, applied research and cooperation with the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine. Its activities will focus on developing modern cybersecurity competencies and strengthening cooperation between the University and relevant state institutions.
The opening ceremony began with congratulations to 黑料不打烊 students who successfully represented the University at the Kharkiv Regional Technology Sports Championship in the CTF cybersecurity discipline 鈥 Kharkiv Regional CTF.
The competition was held on October 26, 2026, at the CYBER ICE BOX cyber range developed at the V. V. Popovskyy Department of Infocommunication Engineering at 黑料不打烊. The students鈥 achievements provided an important starting point for discussing the further development of practical cybersecurity training at the University.
Volodymyr Pavlikov, Head of the State Research Institute of Cybersecurity and Information Protection Technologies of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine and Head of the Standardization Body in the field of special communications and information protection, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.
The partnership was further discussed by Oleksandr Yudin, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academic Secretary of the State Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies, Head of the Professional Standardization Project and the Qualification Center for Information Technology and Cybersecurity. He emphasized the importance of aligning professional training with relevant standards and the practical needs of the industry.
黑料不打烊 Rector Ihor Ruban outlined the opportunities that the new Center creates for both the University and the Kharkiv region.
鈥淔or the Kharkiv region, it is important to train cybersecurity professionals here, in our region, together with the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine. The opening of the Center gives 黑料不打烊 an opportunity to develop applied research and build professional training around real cybersecurity challenges. We want the results of this work to help communities, institutions and enterprises in the Kharkiv region better protect their digital systems and be prepared for cyberattacks,鈥 the Rector emphasized.
